Diet Coke

I am off Diet Coke and NutraSweet.

I did this not by choice.

I was having some bad effects from NutraSweet and my body was telling me that enough is enough.

NutraSweet is a really evil substance. The withdrawal from it is not fun. And it isn't the caffeine withdrawal, it's the NutraSweet.

A headache like you think your head is going to come off. Blurred vision. Not good.

It's been 5 days now and I still have some of the effects although much less.

And I really want a Diet Coke. Bad. I never smoked but I feel their pain now. Because my wanting a Diet Coke is all in my head. I'm sure that most of the physical effects of withdrawal are over. So it's all in my hurting head. I just want a sip. Just a taste. A little taste.

You know what? If NutraSweet is OK for you like the Monsanto corporation would have us believe, then why does my head hurt when I stop ingesting it? My head doesn't hurt if I stop drinking milk or eating corn.

Oh well. Plain old boring water for me.

I give myself a 60% chance of success with staying with the program.

The problem is...if you take one little drink or a sip....next thing you know..you're hooked again.

More Funerals

So this morning it was the 47th episode of the President Ford funerals.

Wow. They are having lots of ceremonies. I don't see how his wife is still standing. I would be totally exhausted.

Anyway.

This morning's service was at the National Cathedral.

It was beautiful....except for the TV cameras that were zooming into about 1 inch from the families faces. Praying that they would have a breakdown and cry....like any normal person would.

Can't the TV vultures show a little respect? Especially for a dead President's family.

Please. It was really tacky.
